We’re pretty much unpacked and settled in Perth. It took a little longer for Perth to unpack the nice weather, but that finally happened over the weekend. On Saturday we bicycled 7 km to the beach and took a longer 13 km route back alongside the Swan River and an incredibly kitschy sunset. On Sunday we tried our luck at another spectacular sunset and went on a picnic next to the Swan River, but the clouds beat us to it. I did get a very nice shot though.

Nice sunset…it’s my favorite spot along the river in Perth and is 200m from my house. I am also an entrepreneur (originally from Zimbabwe), worked in property investment in South Africa and now I manage my investments from Perth. I was thinking of doing the Cape Argus Cycle Tour in Cape Town again this year (2012) and I could show you a couple of good river rides when you are again in Perth. Cheers
Unfortunately my time in Perth is over. We had a 3 month sabbatical at UWA and are now back in Cape Town. I will be doing the Argus this year for the first time. Getting in shape is proving to be the biggest hurdle!
